Our Lord and Savior was a carpenter, the supreme craftsman who crafted the very spirit that is perfectly placed deep within our hearts. Colossians 4:5 says,"Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time."The wisdom that we at Savior Watches will be walking with are the watches we deliver with loving and encouraging words our Lord and Savior left for us to share in attempts to make you believe more with all of your heart.

Kusasira Stanly of Kampala, Uganda

I'm sure that we've all seen movies and documentaries about what goes on in parts of Africa, but there are very few of us who have actually been there and witnessed things with our own eyes. There are many places throughout the world where people do not believe in God but do in fact believe in spirits in some cases, black magic. In every country, poverty can swallow people whole and can make one's ways lost forever, but there are also many that through divine chance, can make a radical 180º change in their lives for the good. We at Savior Watches had the pleasure of talking with a soul who's life changed forever.

Kusasira grew up in the streets of Uganda. He left home at the age of 12 because of certain hardship at his home. Shortly after his parent's divorce, Kusasira's father who was a very important part of his life passed away and staying home was not an option, so he decided to go to Kampala which is the capital city and the largest city in all of Uganda. With no relatives there, Kusasira had to turn to a criminal life just to survive. As a kid, just to make time fly by and nights less cold, Kusasira would drink alcohol heavily and smoke cigarettes to calm his nerves. At times, he would go days without eating and would have to rob others just to feed himself, then... he got a girl pregnant.

While walking the busy streets of Kampala and crossing a road, a terrible accident happened, Kusasira was struck by a car and rushed to a hospital where he spent the next 8 months of his life with nobody there for him at all. Inside the hospital, there was however local preachers praying over the sick and injured. They approached Kusasira and began praying over him for Jesus to heal him and enter his life. Day by day, these preachers would talk to him teaching him the word of God and the more they talked to him the more they fed Kusasira changing his life forever. The moment he was released from the hospital, he rushed to the church the preachers were from and gave his life to Jesus Christ. He actually thanks God for allowing him to live in the streets, stealing from others and the accident that occurred because it allowed him to be introduced to the higher power, the truth and the light.

So day by day, Kusasira would pray to God, read the bible and be taught by these preachers so he could get a better understanding of what his faith actually meant all while maintaining a job that pays very little. The more he was fed with God's loving words, Kusasira decided it was time for him to fully surrender to Jesus Christ and was baptized in the Kibale River in Uganda. Opening his eyes to a whole new life, he decided to take his learning even further and become a pastor himself.

Kusasira praying over people at a village in Uganda

Kusasira praying over people at a village in Uganda

Without a car to drive or any other type of transportation, Kusasira traveled by foot to different villages within Uganda to spread the gospel and introduce others to Jesus. He felt strong in his heart that his people must know Him and accept his loving ways especially with everything that goes on within his country. Uganda is one of the poorest nations in the world with 37.7% of the population living on less than $1.25 a day and it gets even more harsher in the country's rural areas. The poor cannot support their children and their schooling so dropping out was frequent forcing the children to help their mothers with domestic work or even get married at a young age. Others engage in prostitution and as the result puts them in a higher risk of contracting HIV / AIDS accounting about 57% of all adults living with HIV.

Though Christianity takes up 84% of their nation, practicing the word within the villages is not seen or heard as much. In fact, as we mentioned earlier, black magic was commonly practiced in this region resulting in thousands of children being sacrificed for another man's "gain." In Kusasira's city alone, rural districts around the city were badly affected by child kidnappings for sacrificial purposes. These witchdoctors would consult with these spirits by which we know them as demons for anyone who wanted to to pay a fee. Children were not the only one's getting sacrificed, they would also sacrifice various animals including goats to appease these evil spirits. These witchdoctors actually made a ton of money conducting these sacrifices especially dealing in human sacrifices, and since young children were easier to abduct, they fell victim to these murders more often than adults. They would bring the heart and blood directly to these spirits  putting them in tins which they placed under a tree which voices of these spirits would communicate with them. Do you see how the devil works with these people to bring more souls to him and away from God?

On top of everything else, thousands of refugees fled to Uganda from neighboring countries such as South Sudan, Congo, Burundi, Somalia and Rwanda due to violence, civil war and genocide. Kusasira clearly remembers bodies floating down Ugandan rivers due to the Rwandan Genocide in 1994. 500,000-1,000,000 people lost their lives due to the Hutu targeting the Tutsi people and many fled to his country only to be placed in these tiny refugee camps which exists till this day. These are the types people that Kusasira preaches to.

Kusasira walks to different villages to speak to those trying to contact witchdoctors who try to fill a void in their lives which may be monetary wealth, women or power. He tries to get them to know that there is a higher truth, a higher power, and that these material or bodily things these people want hold no value whatsoever. He walks to these villages to introduce Jesus Christ to those who came from these war torn countries only to let them know that regardless of what they've experienced, all the suffering they endured... the love of Jesus Christ will be with them and that if they themselves accepts Him... if they themselves believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, who suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried in the tomb only to be raised on the third day, that they too will receive all of God's glory and His riches... That whatever sins they committed, whatever filth they went through... their bodies and their spirits are washed clean because of the blood of Jesus Christ... and with that said, Kusasira has brought plenty of people to the cross who let go of themselves and gave their lives to Christ.

Because of Kusasira's faith, he falls victim on being attacked on many different levels. He constantly gets accused of worshipping an "American God" and following an "American Religion..." we put parentheses only because little do they know the global impact of the Christian faith. Witchdoctors wishing death to him, trying to send demons to attack him when he sleeps... Lets stop here for a minute... demons attacking you while you sleep... How many of you have had dreams where you were aware of your surroundings and something unholy tries to attack you? I personally have had several attacks like that, in fact, it happened during the time I fully committed to the Lord. Fully asleep, I would feel pressure of something trying to attack my soul... I would hear voices cursing God and would sometimes witness someone in my dream being possessed by that spirit. But within this dream, no matter of the situation, I felt that Jesus Christ was with me and I would say strong prayers over that person or that spirit casting it out, "In the name of Jesus Christ" I would scream casting that presence out of my life, my house and all of my surroundings... and that presence would leave. The power and love of Jesus is strong within us all, but we just have to accept Him, just like Kusasira accepted Him. And regardless of what people say or how he gets attacked, with the strength of the Holy Spirit, Kusasira holds the bible strong within his hands to spread the Word of God to save more souls just like he was saved himself.

Matthew 28:19-20 says...

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

God instructed us to spread His Word throughout the land... to people of every tongue... that all shall know that Jesus is Lord and that the only way to get through to God is through Him... our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Kusasira is an example and inspiration to us all, how our faith should be strong at all times... that no matter what sins we committed, our sins have been forgiven. That no matter what and no matter how we get there... whether it be by car or by foot, we must all trust in the Lord and go make more disciples. Kusasira heard of Savior Watches through our social ministry and everyday he prays for each and everyone of us in full support of what we do. We are much more than just a Christian watch brand, we are united Christians from different denominations who all accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior who's main objective is to bring more and more people to the cross... We are all one church, cleansed by the blood of Christ.

To this day, Kusasira still travels by foot to preach the Word of God to different villages in Uganda and also prays to have a building of his own in Kampala.  Kusasira was a man living in the streets of one of the poorest countries in the world... although he did sin just like everyone else on earth, God did not give up on him or his life. He had a purpose for him and that purpose was to spread his Gospel. To those who lived in the streets or living in the streets now... never turn your back against God and His will, continue with your prayers and God will show mercy to you whether in this life or in His great kingdom. Kusasira also asked us if his testimony would touch people from the States.... Kusasira, your story, your faith and your love touched all of our hearts over here at Savior Watches... and we look forward to working with you in the days to come to help spread God's word. We say to you brother, God Bless you and Hallelujah! We thank you for all that you do and pray that God will bless you on your journey to save even more souls throughout Uganda and beyond... In Jesus name...

Throughout my life cancer has been the leading threat to life around me. Back in the '80s, the biggest thing that had everyone cringe was AIDs and HIV... but cancer... that was a category all on it's own. The very first time I heard the word cancer was during a Peanut's Gang cartoon with Charlie Brown when they had a friend diagnosed with leukemia. And since then, I heard it more and more and especially recently. It's been getting out of control, taken the lives of close friends, aunts, uncles and cousins which brings me here and is a powerful story worthy enough to share with all of you.

When I was younger, plenty of my family lived out of State so it took a while for us to really get to hang out with any of my cousins. But we did have one family who lived closest to us so visiting them or them visiting us was frequent. I had a little cousin who was always around me and wanted to be around my father as much as possible so he made arrangements to have her stay with us at least two weekends a month. Within our family, especially our family from Carson and Long Beach, there were a lot of them involved in gangs and drugs so my dad, being the man that he was, tried to help detour her away from that type of lifestyle.

We come from a strong Christian family, a very strong one and it started with my great-great grandfather who was a pastor and a politician. His son, my great-grandfather also became a pastor, and his sons, my great uncles, became pastors as well. Our family's church that my great great grandfather built still stands today ever since the 1800's so that alone is something worth bragging about. So with that being said, the teachings of Jesus Christ was shared throughout generations and plenty of us actually listened and felt the word including my little cousin who followed the Lords teachings and strayed away from what her mother was actually doing.

We all tend to stray away from the Lord but being the loving father God is, he always brings us back within his loving arms. My cousin, thought she found love and ended up getting pregnant in her early 20s only to find out that she was the only who felt the love. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy but was alone in raising the child. A couple years later, she met a man who entered her life lovingly and willing to be there in support of her situation but turned out to be worse than the first guy. He also got her pregnant and abandoned her right after. There are plenty of single moms out there in this world and Lord knows the struggle they go through to raise children alone. If they are mothers of boys, it's even tougher to raise those boys and turn them into men. What's even tougher than that is raising boys and having to take care of a mother addicted to drugs and a little sister who is following the same footsteps as her mother. In reality, she is the only one working raising 4 children, 2 of whom are grown and taking full advantage of her. Imagine the toll that would do to a person, trying to raise boys to men while taking care of two ungrateful people eating you out of house and home... how selfish is that?

I remember early on her calling me crying like no other asking what she should do... and I remember listening on the other end realistically unable to help her telling her to let them go... but it wasn't that simple. She'd wake up every morning, take care of the boys, drop them off at her aunt's house, then head out to work, go back to her aunt's house, go home, take care of the boys, cook the household dinner, tuck the boys in, go to sleep then repeat the process. Again, this took a toll on her... to the point where she developed breast cancer.

When she was diagnosed, she was devastated but did not give up hope. Because she was taking medication and doing chemo, she was unable to drive so instead of relying on her mother or her sister to step up and help with at least the driving, she would wake up even earlier, get the boys ready, feed them, take the bus to her aunts, take the bus to the hospital, do her treatment, take the bus to work from there, take the bus to her aunt's, take the bus back home, cook for the kids, then finally rest. For those wondering about the aunt and why she was not able to help drive her... she has a condition which does not allow her to drive. So, day by day she did this all while worrying about her kids. While she was going through all of this, she began to pray like no other.

God was always on her heart and she prayed frequently and acknowledged that she made mistakes just like the rest of us, but her main prayer was that her children would grow to be good men and that she could be there to help guide them since their fathers refused. I received several calls on how things were and how hard it was to the point I had to drive there myself to raise hell... but did that work? She called me to the side and just asked me to pray with her, so instead of stressing her out even more with me trying to put other family members in their place, we peacefully prayed to our Lord and Savior.

A couple years later a miracle happened... her cancer appeared to be gone and she shouted with joy "Hallelujah, thank you Jesus!" She was then able to drive again and drove straight to San Diego to tell me the great news. She felt that she had a new handle in life and began to change it radically. She helped out with her church more, was able to raise her children the way she wanted to. She got a house, gave her mother and sister a choice to get their lives together and accept Jesus in their hearts or move on with their lives and even continued on with her college education.

Two years she was doing this then one day I received a tearful phone call from her. She was in a frantic and did not know what to do... Her doctors said that the cancer came back but this time, it spread to her brain... it was worse than ever before. She was unable to think straight, her headaches, vision, everything was just falling apart within her body. I cried like never before and told the Lord that her life was greater than mine and asked to take mine so she would be able to raise her two children. But it's not for me to say! I would go visit her as much as I can to the point where the hospice allowed her to spend the rest of her days at home. This time, things were different with her. She accepted what the Lord had in store for her and was not afraid at all. She even had faith that her children would grow up strong in her absence with the love of God in their hearts. Every time I went to her house, it felt like a church service. She'd give thanks for everything even the cancer she had and would proclaim that Jesus was Lord and Savior. Gave thanks for the cancer she had? Yes! She did, she knew the devil was trying to bring her down but she remained faithful.

Even writing this brings all the emotion out of me but yet, still makes me shout Hallelujah! I've witnessed a miracle in one's soul and it was something I have never witnessed before in my life.

Psalm 23 says,

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me  in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

She passed away a short time later but I won't forget the last words she told me... "God gave me my life and I stood strong with Him by my side. He blessed me with two sons and a loving family.  I know that he is calling me. He's not taking my life, he's just taking me to a different kingdom, his kingdom to do His will and I am here to do what he calls me for..." She opened my eyes like they were opened for the first time witnessing the world. She had cancer twice, yes she was scared, but she accepted it. She did not allow the devil to win at all. She stood strong with her faith and I know that she is with Jesus now in paradise. Faith is more than a word we say, it's a lifestyle. My cousin helped me acknowledge God's power during the toughest times. For me to say to take my life instead of hers was me telling God that he did not know what he was doing. Instead, he brought me here, she helped save my soul and now I am here working with Savior Watches able to share this testimony with all of you who are going through or went through the same thing.

To those of you with cancer or for those of you who are dealing with cancer through a family member, please allow me to say this prayer for you...

Lord, you gave us all life and I am truly thankful for that. I know that you are in full control and looking out for all of us including helping us live our lives day to day. For my brothers and sisters with cancer father, I ask that when your will is done, whether they survive the outcome or take their journey to your kingdom, I ask that they for one, know that you are their Lord and Savior and confess that with their mouths,  I also pray that their lives touch someone else's life, so they too may get a chance to acknowledge and accept you. I pray that no matter the outcome, the cancer that they endured yells out to others around them, that somehow someway, it will help bring more souls to you. I pray that hearts of friends and family members are comforted by your grace, and of course I pray for full recovery of all Lord and if it is your will to have them live longer, I pray that they acknowledge your miracle and glorify your name everyday of their lives. Thank you Jesus for this life, this gift you have given, with my mouth I confess to you Lord that you are my Savior, you are the Son of God, you were crucified, you did rise from the dead on the third day and you did it all for our sins because you love each and every one of us. And as a result, I truly feel that no matter what, we all survived, because you are in our hearts... In Jesus name, Amen!

If you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please share this, write a comment below, and like this. God is truly amazing and worth sharing. If you have a social media account, lets share this on there as well and bring more souls to Christ, Amen?

Sonny Sandoval (POD) & Ruben Torres

Growing up in a Catholic home, I went to church every now and then, My parents were trying to get me to participate in various things such as putting my brother and I as alter boys but I never fully grasped what it was I was doing or really knew anything about the church itself. So to me, I knew about Jesus but never knew Jesus and as a result, I began to get rebellious.

Meanwhile, on Maitland Ave, 2 doors down, a man I hold close to my heart began to have bible studies inside his house preaching the word of God, but what sparked my attention the most was this man's transformation once he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. See, this guy was known to use drugs, sell drugs, and party hard! He also just happens to be the father of Noah "Wuv" Bernardo, drummer of the band Payable On Death- P.O.D., and uncle to Sonny Sandoval, lead singer of P.O.D. who are also some of my closest friends since diapers!

After seeing what Noah's new life was I felt that the Jesus he talked about was different and seemed real! I wanted to know who that Jesus was that turned that party animal wild man into a a Jesus loving wild man!

Attending Noah's bible study I learned more about God and his word then I did at the church my mom was trying to get me to go to. But in the neighborhood we grew up in, We would still get caught up in the mishaps of our environment. Most of the people we grew up with were involved with selling drugs and other criminal activity which included some members in my own family. I wouldn't call myself a drug dealer but I was surrounded by those that moved serious weight.  I would help my older brother and some of my friends wrap and stash, and send out.. but I always knew that this was not the life I wanted to live.

We all loved to party, smoke, drink, and sleep around! To this day I can't count how many people I smoked out for the first time. I corrupted so many people. We were the popular kids,  We had our own clique, they called us THE LOCS. We weren't a gang, just a crew, a family of guys that all bonded as close as brothers by growing up on Maitland. We weren't to be messed with either, plus we had back up. And with the love of the Hustle, Some of us started to grow deeper into the drug game and some grew deeper into the entertainment industry.

So at the end of 1994, I finally had it!.. I no longer wanted to live that life anymore or travel State to State with suitcases full of drugs... For my friends or my brother.  I wanted to do better with my life, make a difference. I always felt that God had something better for me. I wanted to make my mother proud instead of make her cry. She knew when I was straying off, she knew when I was high. I wanted to stop disappointing her. So I went to one of Wuv's bible studies, literally cried out and said my plea. They laid hands on me and began to pray.  I felt that wasn't enough so then I got really high, and I ended up going to this church event during Christmas time, "The Greatest Story Ever Told," and I felt as if God really softened up my heart at that time and I gave my life to the Lord that day and trying to turn from the madness that I was getting involved with.

I went back to the people I was helping "move" stuff for and told them that I needed to get out and no longer wanted to be involved anymore... That I was gonna be a Christian, I got laughed at! Then with my love for music,I wanted to keep doing music but for The Lord. I got into Christian rap and became an artist myself working with Wuv's father at Rescue Records, the same label P.O.D. was originally signed to back in the days. With them, I got involved with several ministry events, outreaches, basically, doing Kingdom work which would bring more people to the cross.

In 1996, a short time after I had gotten saved, I was really on fire for the Lord. With my brother being involved in what he did and his power and influence grew, he suddenly disappeared and it was a big deal to us all. His disappearance and not having any closure because a body was never found really took a toll on my mom and less than a year later, she ended up dying of a broken heart. People really don't think that it is possible, but, with a severe loss like this without closure could really take a toll to one's heart and emotions. Within a year I lost 2 of the closest people to me, my mom and my brother. It later took a long term affect on me, and God continues to heal those wounds.

As I got deeper involved in the industry my distractions turned to backsliding and rebellion. I tended to stray away. I moved to Los Angeles and it was a lot easier to party and get involved with that "Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll" lifestyle, really straying away from God and... stuff happens. It cost me my marriage! But God, he could never forget about me...

Isaiah, 49:15-16 says, "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."

God has us in the palms of his hands... I was never alone. I returned to San Diego and realized the influence and the power of being involved with that industry. I used my influence in the wrong way. Jesus was always in my heart although my actions sometimes said things a lot different. I worked on many ventures that did nothing but puff up my own name instead of the name of Jesus. I was blinded by a little bit of spotlight and a whole lot of pride. Everything began to feel so fake as my name began to grow, and I began to grow farther from God. But still, I never strayed too far from The Lord .

By the end of 2013, I realized I no longer wanted to be the man that I thought I wanted to be, instead I wanted to become the man that God designed me to be!  I fell on my face and asked God what he wants me to do, somehow I felt Gods voice telling me to go get my family back and to move to Modesto! ...I did!  Went north, God brought me a mentor named Bo Herroz and planted me in a great church. Stayed where God sent me for about a year. Grew in The Lord and sent back to SD!

God was pulling me in still so I decided to use my influence the right way and bring others closer to the Lord especially as of recently. I no longer wanted to have one foot in the door and the other foot out. I had to fully submit myself to Him and said, "Lord, do as you will with me!" and just like that God started renewing things within my life and brought me closer to Him.

As of 2014 I got back involved with church, ministries, outreaches, I prayed that God would bring my own family back together and as of recently, God helped me restore my marriage and I am now in the process of remarrying my wife and mother of my 3 kids!

Although we tend to be unfaithful and walk away from the Lord, he is still faithful, walking beside us just as a loving father would. I'm not the best example in anyway shape or form, and at times even dont feel worthy of calling myself a Christian, but I am definitely not the same man I use to be and I am truly thankful for that. Now God is using me to do speaking engagements at various places such as juvenile halls, schools, from here to Modesto, prisons, I'm currently helping Dennis Martinez at the Training Center in Spring Valley, he has me involved with Savior Watches which is a great watch company and a great tool to help people get educated in God's word, who He is, and how He could work miracles in people's lives... I just can't wait to see what else God has in store for me in my life. I am personally a walking miracle especially with things I have been through in the past, God kept me around for a reason. I've been in car accidents which should have taken my life, I've been shot at, in severe fights, lucky I did not get caught with the illegal activity I was doing... yet here today so I could share my story of what God has done in my life and tell you what God could do in your life... all you have to do is submit your life. He turns nobodies into somebodies, and you are nobody without Jesus Christ!

I've been involved in some awesome things in my life including music, performing, writing, producing, A&R, touring, video/film, working with a ton of celebs, produced events, hosted radio and video shows, owned a clothing company, got me a few platinum plaques, was in a few music videos, lots of epic stories, and bragging rights dating back to 1991 and built myself into a brand. But my biggest accomplishment to date is running back to Christ!

In your life, just be encouraged because I know first hand the wonders he could do. I know what it is like to feel pain, to see death in full color, the pain of losing someone close... so going through all of that including the pain of divorce, I channel it all into a voice, that somewhere, somehow and someway, my experiences will help someone going through what I went through. Im just a kid from the "Southtown" that was given an opportunity to turn some negatives into a positive and I hope my story could influence and give hope to others saying "Hey man, if this guy could do it, we could all do it!" I have had success and I have had failures but no matter what, you have to keep moving forward and give everything to Jesus... let him take control. I pray and hope to turn my mess into a message and my test into a testimony... all while building my relationship with The Lord. .. I'm known as the Connected guy..,but it's not that "I'm" connected, it's "who" I'm CONNECTED to!

Savior Watches, The First Christian Based Luxury Wooden Watches

The newest brand of luxury wooden watches, Savior Watches sets to launch this Summer and will introduce watches made from biblical woods grown in the Holy Land.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2015

Savior Watches (, the very first Christian based luxury wooden watch brand announced today the pre-launch of their very first wrist watch “Rejoice,” which will make its debut on Kickstarter ( this summer. Savior’s “Rejoice,” features Miyota Precision Quartz Movement (chronograph), scratch resistant mineral crystal, an onyx face with gold accents, with the casing and band made out of wood used and referenced in the Holy Bible.

Sonny Sandoval, the lead singer of the band Payable on Death- P.O.D. stated, "I'm proud to come along side Savior Watches and be a part of the good work they are doing. Not only are they providing a quality product for watch lovers everywhere but their charity work will accomplish amazing things in my very own community."

Ruben Torres, Marketing Director and co-founder of Savior Watches says, “Savior Watches carefully researched which types of woods will be used for the watches and found a supplier willing to work with us to get them made. Finding the supplier in Israel was not an easy task for us but thanks to God, we were able to find one who has the various types needed such as Bethlehem Olive Wood, Ebony, Carob, Cypress, etc…The best part of the relationship with both the supplier and manufacturer is the fact that they are both Christian based companies and will work carefully to ensure that Savior Watches are completed at their highest quality and potential."

Kassim Osgood of the San Francisco 49ers said, “I came into Savior Watches for the sole purpose of the work they are trying to accomplish. The fact that they are using a Christian based wood supplier from Israel and a Christian based manufacturer to make the products gives you more of a sense of authenticity to the goods produced. To see the types of woods they used in the old times is a very humbling experience.” Bethlehem Olive Wood is the very same wood King Solomon used for the front doors of the First Temple of Jerusalem due to its unique pattern, heaviness and density.

“And for the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.”- I Kings 6:31

Back in the Old and New Testament times, Ebony was used as a term of payment due to its rareness.

“Merchants came to you from Dedan. Numerous coastlands were your captive markets; they brought payment in ivory tusks and ebony wood.”- Ezekiel 27:15

Woods like Bethlehem Olive Wood and Ebony are the perfect types of wood to use for the Savior Watches line and are both unique. “We created this brand with the main goal of building God’s church by attempting to bring in new believers of Christ. Along with using woods imported from Nazareth, on the backs of each watch, we engraved encouraging passages from the Holy Bible as well as including strong passages on the packaging itself,” says Torres. “…It’s only fitting that we create luxury watches made out of high grade wood from the Holy Land with God’s words engraved on them so we could literally allow people to walk with the wisdom of God on their wrists.”

The passage of the bible Savior Watches uses frequently is:

"Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time."
-Colossians 4:5

Blake Popejoy, co-founder of Savior Watches said, "We are not just a watch company, we are fishers of men attempting to gain more brothers and sisters through the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Along with our wooden watches, we set up a blog as well as an online social ministry which allows guests to read and view powerful testimonies from celebrity actors, athletes, musicians as well as the Savior staff on Facebook and Twitter. These are all testimonies thousands of people could relate to and give them hope to any struggle that may occur which may include addictions, temptation, greed, etc…" Along with testimonies comes prayer requests which Savior Watches provides on a weekly basis, but the ultimate goal for which the brand was created is to help a Chula Vista based pastor find a building of his own. Currently, the pastor preaches inside a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu studio in Chula Vista, CA. Each Saturday along with the help of his associate pastor, he enters the studio to clean up, lay down the carpet so shoes do not damage the mats, sets up the chairs, sound, etc…Then after service, he cleans up, rolls the carpets back up and places them back in storage along with stacked chairs, etc…“Each week I see this man preach the word of God and he does it all with a loving smile on his face and each week more people wish to attend which is why we created this brand…to help this man have a place of his own where the set up is already done!” Torres explained.

"With every sale of a Savior Watches, a percentage/tithe will go directly to this pastor who does not know we are doing this for him…His family and other church members have no clue as well and will be completely surprised when staff members issue off the first percentage of sales during the next quarter season.” The Kickstarter campaign will initially give pledgers the opportunity to not only have a piece of biblical history on their wrists, but also walk with God’s words and help build a stronger church. Pledgers will be able to get a Savior “Rejoice" Watch at a special promotional rate with different pre-order stages starting with the early birds who place their orders first. Torres says "We are taking luxury watches to a whole different level with each custom piece made. Our customers will have a sense of enlightenment when wearing our watch which has it’s own unique design. Savior Watches will continue to grow and build a brand that will have a strong impact within the masses and the industry."

Savior Watches started by attending a certain pastor's church for the very first time. Most churches we attend have everything set up for them, from the seats to the building itself... But we have to remember, the building, the seats, the musicians is not God's Church... We are God's Church, us as individuals are and always will forever be God's Church.

To think of church, we have to think about it's humble beginnings, how Jesus had his church wherever and whenever. Some people have their church at their homes, inside their living rooms or inside their garages just like Wuv's father (drummer of POD) Noah. People like Noah opened their place up for ears who wanted to hear and actually listen to the word of God.

Well back to how Savior Watches started, I just happened to be invited to attend church inside a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu studio and thought how funny it was that God works miracles anywhere including a place like this. But as I sat down to hear this man preach, I was amazed on how many ears actually listened, amazed at how many bodies stood up from their seats and shouted "Hallelujah!" and "Amen!" But mostly amazed at the fact that listening to this man speak about Jesus made me feel the Holy Spirit's presence within me. How funny that God could work miracles anywhere and how he made me, a sinner feel forgiven. Jesus had chosen sinners to walk beside him, listening to his words... and for the first time, I actually listened during his service but felt completely transformed the second my body arose from the water accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I was reintroduced to Jesus Christ because of this man and I thank God everyday that he lead me to this preacher who lead me back to Him... our Lord. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu studio... If you're into martial arts, the first thing you have to understand is the fact that you never step on the mats with your shoes. Every Saturday, this man rolls out carpet so not one person steps on it followed by setting up all the chairs and making sure the place is clean. Every Saturday he does this and every Sunday he puts it all away then cleans up once more... and he's happy and thrilled to do this all the time. How inspirational is that?

He knows he needs a building of his own but is more than thankful that he could help save souls inside a studio like this one to begin with. His wife and other church members think of ways to raise money for the church and although every penny counts, its not enough for their ultimate goal. So here we are today... We created Savior Watches to help his church... but they have no clues that we even created such a thing let alone such a project for them... and the church is clueless just as well. We created a Christian based luxury watch company with woods from the Holy Land and God's words laser engraved on the back... for them and to help them spread God's good word. Imagine their surprise when we announce this to them this June when they are handed a check of a percentage of our earnings.

A Christian based wooden watch brand... woods from the Holy Land... Encouraging passages from the bible... Wow! But lets go back to this, Christian based luxury wooden watch brand from California... There was a lot of thought put into this brand. Our supplier is a Christian based supplier from the town of Nazareth who blessed us with the biblical woods we use. Our manufacturer is a Christian based manufacturer... How awesome is that? Christians helping Christians in efforts to help a preacher talk about the word of God in his own building... At the same time, you get to wear a luxury watch with the same woods used during the Old and New Testament times and look fresh, fashionable and elegant at the same time.

Colossians 4:5 says, "Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time."

The wisdom we are sharing with you are the words engraved in the backs of the watches you walk with, now that's an awesome use of your own and personal time and we get to help grow God's church. Please join us as we set to launch this brand this May.  God bless you all and thank you all for following this brand!

Being a Christian is a test on it's own. I knew I loved God since I was a child but I had no clues as to what that meant for me. I loved him yes, but how much did I love Him? When I was under the influence of drugs and alcohol, deep down I knew that the emptiness I felt inside was me putting God to the side. And once He was reintroduced into my life, I was a baby all over again looking into a brand new world I have never seen before and that emptiness I had inside was filled with love of Jesus Christ.

With my love for God comes certain tests and obstacles for instance, I was walking in Balboa Park going towards the big water fountain by the space museum. Along that path, you'll notice tons of street performers using their talents to entertain others as well as booths of crafts and other things. I noticed that there was a group of 7 or 8 men surrounding a canopy that said "There is no God! Once you found the truth you will be set free and experience true life!" Then I noticed other signs that said atheist this and atheist that... How far from the truth they are!

One gentleman approached me and asked if I believed in God, within a split second I responded back "Absolutely 100% without 1 single doubt!" He said, "So you believe that God created the heavens and the earth, that man came from the dirt, etc..." I answered, "Yes I do!" He asked why and I told him because I have faith that he did, I believe with all my heart that he did all this for us.  Then, he hit me with it, what proof do you have? I looked at him then looked at all my surroundings and said, "Because of all this!", "All of what?" he asked... "All of this!" I pointed at couples with children playing, people laughing, loving one another... "The good that we have in our world is because of God. The love that we show one another, the beautiful natural things he has created for us like the blue sky, majestic mountains, clear oceans, birds flying... that alone is worth believing"

"But that's still not proof!" he said... I asked, "Well, what do you think? How was all this created? What is your proof that it happened otherwise?"... He said, because of the Big Bang... Gases and this and that formed our solar system, the planets around us, etc... So I asked, "So you believe in the Big Bang Theory and that we all came from apes?" He said, "To a certain degree, yes!" So I asked, "Well what's your proof that it actually happened? Because the way I see it, you don't have any proof that the Big Bang actually took place which is why it is a theory and not a fact. Your "theory" is similar to my faith, but the difference is my faith still stays the same and fits under the same category as my truth versus your theory will always and forever stay a theory with nothing to state the facts that it actually happened." I then asked, "Do you believe in ghosts?" he said, "I believe that theres a possibility of restless spirits that reenact certain things." Right after he said that I asked, "How could you believe that there's restless spirits reenacting certain things but you don't believe that there's a Holy Spirit who took care of all things?" I told him, "What I find funny about what you and your friends are doing is the fact that you're atheist but you're trying so desperately to get others to view things the way you view them. We as Christians have our support systems, our ministries... We minister one another to make our faith that more stronger and to gain more knowledge that God intended us to have. We are there for our fellow brothers and sisters, our neighbors and you're one of them. If you don't believe in Jesus Christ and that he died for our sins, why on earth are you wasting your time sitting on a lawn chair at a beautiful park, on a beautiful Saturday screaming to the crowds that you do not believe in God? Why waste your time?... unless you're here trying to seek help and the truth yourself?" So I then asked him "Would you like to get to know Jesus? Are you prepared to accept him as your Lord and Savior? Because There is a God! And once you found the truth you will be set free and experience true life!" Irritated at what I had to say, he said "Thanks for your time!" then turned around heading back to his canopy.

The devil works in so many ways to make people not believe in our Lord and Savior. Whether it being through drugs, alcohol, or even atheists... The most important thing is to stand your ground and keep your faith strong. Don't let anything distract you from your relationship with Jesus, at the same time, because all of us must abide by God's "Love Thy Neighbor," invite them to take a chance and try to get to know Him. Who knows, we may be able to make believers out of them, amen?

Before you knew Christ as your Lord and Savior, how were you as a person? I could tell you that my life was a mess and my roots were feeding on rotten soil. The party life for me started at an early age and was not just introduced to me by my siblings but my parents as well. So you could see that my background is something that you wouldn't call humble.

Since I could remember, people were coming in and out of our house daily. I thought that my parents were extremely popular because people would walk in with smiling faces and welcomed with opened arms. I would come back from school and greeted by their "friends" who had already been four beers deep with the strong smell of marijuana lingering on their clothes... and this was the norm for me.

Me and my siblings started drinking and smoking at an extremely early age. I remember my first drunken experience was in the 7th grade as well as the first blunt I smoked. And because it was easy accessible for me at that age, I was a very popular kid at school. My "friends" and I would ditch school almost every week to hang out at my house where we could drink and get high followed by heading out to the beach in our state of mind to surf... my roots were feeding on rotten soil and a troubled life was a road I was heading down. My life was a euphoria of empty smiles and soundless laughs.

Right after high school, one of my parents was saved by the Holy Spirit and soon after became terminally ill. The one thing that mattered most to my parent was that my soul would be accepted in heaven. As stubborn as I was, I asked why God would let a newly accepted servant be taken like this and suffer like this? And when that parent passed away, I cursed at God then felt like I became absent from Him. I cursed at him because I did not know the truth... I lacked God's education... but the truth is, I was never absent from him.

There were several occurrences in my life that happened that should have taken the last breath out of me. Things I survived that can't be explained. I drank heavily, I smoked heavily, I experimented with other drugs till one morning I woke up in my own vomit and realized that the party was over. I needed a change in my life and I needed it fast. I fell to my knees, threw my hands up and shouted I surrender. I needed the Lord to come in and take control of my life. I needed more than just church, I needed full access to the world he promised us. I surrounded myself with people who believe in the word, I attended bible studies, ministries... My life was changing but not changed 100% until one day, I walked into the waters and was greeted by a pastor who asked, "Do you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?" without remorse, without question, I immediately said "Yes! I do accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior!" then was submerged into the water. When I arose, I felt cleaner than ever before as if every part of my body was cleansed. And it was cleansed through the blood of Christ.

Colossians 2:7 says, "Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness."

I now realize why my life wasn't taken, it wasn't taken because God knew I would come to him and that the words in his bible and Jesus Christ would be my top soil. My roots would spread like never before because my soil was enriched with the love of Christ. I'm a changed man now with a beautiful family who also know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I am not silent about my faith and like my roots, it must spread for God wants us to be a fisher of men. I shout hallelujah for what God has done for me, the second chance at life he has given me... and I'll you what, I never experienced a love like this ever before and just the thought of it is a miracle on it's own.

So I ask that you join us on this fishing trip so we could catch and release our fellow man into God's promise, so they're allowed into his kingdom and let their roots grow down into him. Share this story, welcome friends to our social ministry on Twitter and Facebook and lets build God's Church stronger than ever before, amen?

So I have something to testify... The part of San Diego I grew up in was not really an easy going neighborhood. I have mentioned that drugs, gangs and violence was all around but there was this one guy who I always just had an altercation with. In high school, we fought at least 7 times and these fights were bad. Been arrested for 2 of the fights we have gotten into and both of us have countless stitches from several. Your could easily say that this guy was my archenemy. Till this day I have no clues as to how it started. Maybe because he hung around with cholos or the fact that I hung around friends that were in gangs was the cause, who knows? We just did not like the site of one another.

Fast forward 18 years... I recently stopped by my parent's house for a visit. On my way in to turn left on a busy intersection, I noticed the car in front of me was not moving and as I took a closer look, I noticed that it was an old lady. So I backed up and pulled my car into a gas station's parking lot. As I stood at the sidewalk waiting for cars to pass, I noticed that this lady was stressed out and in a panic because of the location she was in. I run towards her direction and asked that she stay in the car to avoid being hit by people in a hurry to get somewhere. I noticed that this young man in his 20's was approaching to help just as well. She said that she had run out of gas and has been waiting for one of her sons to go there and was curious just as I was that nobody else besides us came to her aid.

So me and this young man were able to back her car into the gas station and as we were waiting for one of the pumps to open up, a truck pulls up behind us and this man jumps out. As I took a closer look at the person, guess who it was?... It was that him... my old archenemy. She jumps out of the car and says "Mijo, these two nice gentlemen helped me, we're just waiting on the pump!" The second she said that, a pump became available and the 3 of us pushed her car into the spot.

Then the unthinkable happens, he looks down, walks towards me with his hand up, shook my hand, followed by a hug with the words "God Bless You and Thank You!" We use to embrace each other with our fists and because of Jesus Christ, we embraced each other with a hug. That is a true sign that Our Savior Watches over us, amen?

Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

The second I jumped in my car I felt the Lord in me like no other because of what just happened. I had to drive down to my favorite prayer spot to pray about what just happened. That is truly something that the Lord asked for and I was part of one of his miracles. Thats what Jesus wants from us. We have to let go of ourselves and just accept him. The moment we do, you will feel that change in your mind, body and soul. The feeling of just doing that is beyond words and unexplainable. Thank you Jesus for that, thank you for all that you do, and thank you for giving the both of us a more mature and forgiving heart. In Jesus name!

When I was a teenager, my friends and cousin were at an age I'd like to call "Stupidity." Always getting into any type of trouble we could find, partying, doing everything our parent's didn't teach us. They fought to give us all a better life and appreciate everything we get but that wasn't enough for us.

I remember years ago, we were driving around town going on a shoplifting spree. From one store to the next, we acted like vultures scavenging and taking anything that we came across. I remember walking into a department store at a mall, grabbing some clothes, going to the fitting room, trying them on and thought I'd just help myself and walk out of the doors with those items on. As I approached the door, my lips gave a smirk as if I were invincible to everything. Closer and closer I got to it, the sun shined through it as if I were walking out scott free and undetected... then... I felt hands grab me in a forceful submission and... I was caught.

The police came 15 minutes later, took me to the station and all I could think about was... what my parents were going to say. My brother and sister came and got me and let me have it but noticed that the words they said were coming in one ear and out the other. Nothing they said got through to me and like the arrogant fool I was, I just gave a smirk once again as if I were still invincible.

That night my father came home, walked into my room, leaned against the door and said... "Back in the 40's when I was living in New York, I had a best friend who was always around. Your grandparents loved him and we did everything together till one day, we walked into a store in Brooklyn and he stole some items there. I tried to tell him not to do it and when someone noticed, he ran off and they grabbed me. Brooklyn wasn't the friendliest of places back then and I ended up being the one punished for what he did. After that day, for not stepping in, he left me to hang, no apology and I was no longer around him. I was extremely ashamed at what he's done... But I forgave him. I haven't seen him since!" Then my father turned around and walked out of my room with that being the only thing said... And that hit me.

I got up, walked to my dad, gave him a hug and asked him to forgive me and just like that... He did. He didn't yell at me, he didn't punish me, he just forgave... I have not stolen anything since.

In 1 John 1:9, it says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

My dad forgave me for stealing and I confessed and apologized for what I have done... Needless to say that I've done a lot more but when it comes to sins, I confess them to my Father In Heaven and instead of a harsh punishment and thunderous roar, God gave me a silent whisper... that impacted me a lot more and I knew he forgave me. Confess your sins to God... Let Jesus come in once more, he will forgive you... Amen?

If you agree with this message and accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior, please share this post and lets get more people to believe and involved with this social networking ministry!

Years ago I was addicted to alcohol severely. Growing up, drugs and alcohol was as easy to get as candy even at a very young age. For me and my friends, heavy drinking and drug use was our form of bonding. We were taking all this substance, yet, there was no substance to it.

Everyday, get back from school, steal a 40oz of Micky's or a couple 32oz bottles of Miller High Life, go to our friend's house to smoke some joints while we were at it and tell the same stories we told the day before. How we scored with this girl or that girl, that fight we got into months ago, how we evaded the police at this time and that time... It was all just one big circle. We all felt invincible and that nothing could stop us especially since we had an abundance of street knowledge, which let me tell you is the most ignorant type of knowledge to have. Here's the best part though, we all came from families with a strong church background, yet, we were doing all of this nonsense.

Years later in my 20's, I made great money and partied like it was 1999. Alcohol, drugs and women were much more easier to get and I felt on top of the world. All my buddies from back in the neighborhood were still around me and we were still talking about the same exact stuff we talked about since we were kids. Nothing with substance, just doing everything the devil wants you to do which is not think of God and have him in your hearts.

The devil wants you to be an addict of that life. He wants you to be an addict of temptation, an addict of self, an addict of everything and anything to keep your relationship with God that much further away, a life with no substance, just like the conversations I've been having with my buddies throughout the years.

Then, in my 30's, I finally found Christ. Events and miracles happened in my life that I could not explain. Supernatural events that could not be answered. I had no choice but to let Jesus into my heart and the change in my life was literally night to day... Once I saw the light, my vision was clear, my heart grew, the joy in my life because of Jesus far exceeded any rush I had in my life. And for the first time, I felt like I had substance.

Since my 30's and going into my 40's, I couldn't help to share the good news to my buddies from back in the old neighborhood. One of them actually quit his old ways and came to Christ as well. Later on he told me that the way we were living was like the ways of Egypt. You gotta let go of that former slave life we had, slave life meaning all the substance abuse and slaves to it, and take our journey to the new land of hope that God has promised us. We just have to want it, want that relationship with God. That's all he wants! He wants to have a relationship with us, to be able to talk to us and really get into our lives just as any true father would.

But one of our other friends was still stubborn to submit. The addiction took control and he listened to the devil more than God. His skin and eyes started turning yellow, he got extremely skinny, hands were always clammy, and before you knew it, his stomach became more and more bloated. Next thing you know, the alcohol that took over his life then took his life and he died of liver failure. Plenty of people ignored the fact that he was sick and that the addiction was strong... they just kept passing him another drink. The beer turned into hard liquor and he was consuming bottles upon bottles of vodka daily. Only a few of us tried to help him but we couldn't keep our eyes on him every minute of the day. The only thing we could do is pray for him and try to get him to seek the truth. But now it's too late and the only thing we could do is pray for his spirit.

James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Submit yourself to God... That's all you have to do and once you do, the devil who once tempted you with any temptation you suffer from will no longer have authority. The bottles he passes to you will get slapped out of his hands by Jesus Christ and the substance that you consumed in the past will change to God's Holy spirit filling your life, your heart and your mind with the Joy he's been wanting to give you since the moment you were born. Praise be to God that one of the other friends we grew up with saw everything that happened, took a step back from his life to look at himself, looked at us and the joy we had, look at what happened to our other friend and where he's at now to only realize that he was following his exact footsteps and finally realized that was not the path he wanted to go. He submitted himself to God and today, his faith is stronger than most I've seen. And only God could do that! The devil realized that he had no more authority in his life, packed his bags and left. And to that, I say Amen! God is Good and I love the miracle he allowed us to witness with all of this.

If you believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, please share this with your friends and family.

Ever hear about "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer?" A lot of those "enemies" are also my Facebook friends. Every single time I log on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram I always find myself looking at their day to day posts living a life in deep celebration as if they were living a perfect life... and I always found myself questioning myself saying "What If...?"

I've said this before, I strayed away from the Lord before and did things I was not proud of. A lot of these "enemies" did some of the things I did and for some, far worse. Plenty of it involved sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, etc… It was a rush back then and in my heart I felt as if I needed it and that was a life worth living. Surrounded by women, had money to spend and was always ready to start all over again on the weekend for the next alcohol and drug fueled rage. But I’ll say it again, once the money disappears, so does the women and the “friends” that I was surrounded by.

Fast forward years later, I see their posts on social media. Pictures of them traveling, partying in this city, that city, in different countries, going to exotic places, eating exotic foods, and drinking exotic drinks. Still doing the same stuff I stopped doing years ago but I’ll be honest, in my struggle when I was struggling, I was jealous of them. I envied everything it was that they were doing. I was jealous at the fact that they were living this “Perfect Life” and able to do things at the time I wasn’t able to. But then… I got saved. When the Lord reentered my heart all those things meant absolutely zero to me. The jealousy was gone all together because the Lord showed me that I did not need any of that in my life at all. His spirit will fill me with everything it is that I need and I felt more than content. The Lord filled me with Joy and Confidence… Say those words to yourself.. Joy.. Confidence. Have you ever experienced true Joy and true Confidence. The moment you do, I promise you that you will feel unstoppable because that's the comfort, understanding and the truth that Jesus is there by your side. And once you realize that, there is absolutely no reason for you to envy others.

All those things that I was jealous about was all empty promises and was an abundance of true emptiness. As stated before, once the money was gone, nobody was within site. There was no substance in any of that at all.

Proverbs 23:17-18 says, "Let not your heart envy sinners: but be you in the fear of the LORD all the day long. 18 For surely there is an end; and your expectation shall not be cut off.”

I visited one of “those friends” recently just to see how he was doing. The day before, he posted pictures of himself as if he were living that life that everyone dreams about letting everyone know in his social circle that he was living beyond good. Completely false! When talking to him, his mind was so cluttered, cursing up a storm, not working, blaming everyone else but himself as to why he wasn’t working, sleeping on his friends couch.. but yet, just the day before, he was posting pictures that showed he was living a grand life. And he wasn’t the only one doing that. Plenty of the people I was once jealous of were in the same boat he was in.

One thing he did notice about me was that I had this glow around me and he asked how I was doing. I told him that I was living that life. I told him I was living a life so grand and able to do things I have never done before and see things I’ve never seen before… Without drugs, without alcohol… with Jesus. Those places I went to way back when, I was able to see it sober and explore that city’s true beauty and hidden secrets. And only God could allow me to do that and I told him it was a million times better than that false life I use to live. For once, I truly love my life and the life to be. I told him he could have that as well and that all he has to do is confess that he is a sinner, accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior, know that he was crucified, died and risen from the dead on the third day. Believe in him and believe in his promises. I told him that His blood, washed all of our sins away… and that there is a life to be lived… with him in it. So I invited him to bible study and church… So lets see how this story continues and I promise you i’ll give you an update. 2015 is the start of a new year, a new year to get more souls saved, another year to honor God and a fresh start to get substance for those who do not have substance. I pray that your year is a fruitful and blessed one. God Bless every one of you and please pray for the individual I just shared. In Jesus Name!

If you believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, please share this with your friends and family.

I was one of those guys trying to find my place in religion. Growing up Catholic, I was baptized as a baby, received communion as a boy then confirmed that Jesus is Lord as a teen. Back then my relationship was good with The Lord but it wasn't great. After losing two close family members, my twenties were spent distancing myself from the light, doing what it was I wanted to do without Him in my heart... That was an extremely dangerous path I was following and doing something like that was reckless.

Trying to seek self discovery, I tried to attend church again because to know self, you must first know him, and if you do not know him, you do not know self, but little did I know, that it itself was a difficult task as well... In other words, Know History, Know Self - No History, No Self. Several years after I was still going down that dangerous path but in limbo trying to do so. Church after church, bible study after bible study, I still wasn't getting anything. Right after church, I was one of those guys that would go to the beach and hit one of the bars to drink the day away. For me, there just was not any substance no matter which church I went to whether it was the Catholic Church, Methodist, Protestant, Presbyterian, mega churches...

A close friend of mine was reentering into my life. Back then, the two of us meant trouble. This person went down that dangerous path as well and told me that he felt the same way but also said that the church is not any of the buildings or dominations I went to... The people made the church. A church are the people of faith you surround yourself with to feel the Holy Spirit and worship. No disrespect to any of the churches I mentioned earlier because there are those who do attend those churches who feel the Holy Spirit within them.

Plenty of churches get their start with bible studies in their living rooms, others in their garages. I remember POD singer Sonny Sandoval's uncle had bible study/church in his garage back in the days. When TD Jakes got his start, it started out with just 10 people but that number grew. After battling a drug problem, Miles McPherson became born again, I even heard him preach that he started out with a bible study in his home.

The point is, everyone has their stories of how they have received the holy spirit. No matter if there's 8 people or 25, if what that pastor is saying and the people worshipping around you breaks down that first wall in your heart, the Holy Spirit will enter in there and break down the entire foundation so your mind, heart and spirit is built new again... which brings me here. It took me a very long time to find my place and once I found it, the Lord came in like an old Las Vegas casino being demolished for a new upscale resort to be built. My entire mentality changed, my outlook towards life... Jesus came in and washed my sins away and I felt cleaner than ever before. The pastor who helped me reintroduced Him in my heart. It just so happens that this pastor is just starting out himself with only 25+ members. I say + because, the numbers are growing and he's in desperate need of a bigger venue to hold people. They've done several fundraisers but doing something like this is going to need a little bit more help.

He doesn't ask for money, he doesn't ask for assistance. Every Saturday evening, he goes to a business who donated a portion of their space for him on Sundays to roll out 3 large carpets so that company's floors do not get dirty, he sets up chairs, his mic and amplifier, etc... then goes back home to finalize the message he will discuss the following morning. After the service, church members with the kindness of their hearts, helps him roll the carpets back up, place them back in the storage facility, then he packs everything else back in his car and unloads when he gets home. This is his weekend all the time. But he does it with a loving smile on his face. That right there is truly inspiring and admirable. I know I speak for others when I thank him for what he does for us, but when I do thank him, his response is, "I only do this to save souls... to do what Jesus wanted us to do..."

What he does is a lot of work and with the church growing, that means that there will be more chairs to fill. I want him to have a building of his own with the carpet permanently on the floor and seating placed for all who wish to attend. This inspired my friend Sonny to help me do something for this generous man. So secretly without the pastor knowing as well as his family and members of the church no knowing, we created a custom wooden watch brand called Savior Watches with woods from the Holy Land. We are going to initially launch this brand early Spring of 2015 on Kickstarter. With the profit generated from the campaign, we are then going to attend one of the pastor's services and surprise him and his members with a big percentage of the money raised. Could you imagine the look on this man's face when he receives such an offering without any knowledge of what or how it was raised? This would be a true blessing for him and would help him strongly to go out and make more disciples. Isn't that what Jesus wanted us to do?

But we're not going to stop there... We are going to build this brand up and will continue to give this pastor a percentage for his church as well as start programs to help families in need, the homeless, etc... With Jesus, we could do everything, without, we can't do anything.

Acts 5:42 says, "And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: "Jesus is the Messiah.

And that's what we intend to do. From house to house and from wrist to wrist, we are going to preach and help this man preach that Jesus is the Messiah. So please say a prayer and spread the word about our project so that we all may bless this man to go out and save souls. We can't do this without the loving support of the Christian community. God Bless!

You'll be hooked watching the first minute of this video. Sonny opens up about his faith.

Ruben Torres

Sonny Sandoval of the band POD- Payable On Death and Savior Watches opens up about his faith in Jesus Christ. His testimony really uplifts fellow staffers here at Savior Watches and is definitely worth the share. In his younger years, Sonny's mother was diagnosed with cancer and was also a firm believer in Christ. Being around drugs and alcohol, before she left us, one thing she wanted was to make sure that Sonny's soul was being shaped with Christ.

Then, in a dirty parking lot, Sonny literally fell to his knees and surrendered his life to God and right then and there, his soul was purified by the Holy Spirit and he is now very active in spreading God's words. We all have our stories of how we came to know Christ, here's Sonny's story...

What We're Doing!

Emil Tamayo

As stated before, Savior Watches is a new wooden watch brand Created In California and Imported From Israel. All woods we are using are biblical woods harvested in the Holy Land like this wood, Olive Wood. But not just any olive wood, this is Bethlehem Olive Wood direct from the source and shipped from Nazareth. The very same Olive Wood that King Solomon used for the first Temple in Jerusalem.
I Kings 6:31 says, "And for the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall."
King Solomon used this wood not only because of the beautiful grain/pattern this wood gives, but because this wood is very dense, heavy, hard and durable.
There are several people involved in this project as well as this new social ministry we are conducting and we ask one thing... We ask that you say a prayer for this new watch brand as well as a prayer for our social ministry so that we touch the lives of many with His heavenly name... Jesus Christ. We thank you in advance but most importantly, we thank you Jesus in advance for what you do... In Jesus name.

Saying Our Final Goodbye To Christopher Joseph Naffziger- Prayer Warrior

Ruben Torres

Within the San Diego Christian community, with a heavy heart, we at Our Savior Watches are saddened to hear about a dear friend of ours and a dear friend of many, Christopher Joseph Naffziger has passed away yesterday. I had the pleasure of calling this man a true friend but best of all, a true soldier of Jesus Christ. Chris’ story is beyond amazing and hearing it, witnessing it and relating to my own personal experiences, makes me that much more of a believer and makes my own faith that much stronger. Chris prayed for this site, our social ministry and the watch brand we are creating on several occasions and that is something I will never forget.

I grew up in a part of San Diego that was not the most pleasant place to grow up. Alcohol, drugs, violence were around me day to day and I will be the first to admit that I fell into the devil’s trap on several occasions. And for years I struggled with addiction, addiction to alcohol, addiction to drugs, addiction to lust, addiction to everything that is without substance. But when I found the true substance I need, and that is Him that I speak of, I found myself addicted to something else… My faith in God through his Son, Jesus Christ. But the Lord was not letting me go without a fight. The devil threw everything at me trying to lure me back into his lies, but I resisted. Im not going to say I resisted all but what I didn’t resist, the Lord has been helping me block that out of my life and follow the path He led me to.

For Chris, my story does not compare to his whatsoever and I’ve never in my life heard of a story like his. I’ve known Chris for years and every time we spoke he told me about the things he struggled with and how just like that, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and his heart changed for good. When I say for good, Chris’ heart literally changed for good. His story reminds me a lot like the Book of Job. God allowed the devil to attack but not harm Job which would lead him to death. The devil took everything away from Job, his family, crops, his health dwindled… Everything that could possibly go wrong, went wrong, yet Job’s faith with God was still strong and that made the devil angry. He wanted Job to curse God and commit suicide, but he remained strong and faithful. Job received infected advice from “his friends” and those around him, yet Job ignored their guidance and stayed on the path of God.

Job 1:22 says, “In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.”

Chris’ visit to doctors, nurses and dialysis treatment was frequent. The devil literally threw everything at Chris but Chris’ hands were pressed against his ears ignoring the devil and he said out loud “Devil, you are a liar and you have no authority!” Chris knew the truth, and the truth is Jesus. With everything going on with Chris’ health, he had strength enough to pray to God and thank him, to pray for others, to pray for me, then pray for himself… and he did it with a loving smile. A smile that solidified his stance on what the devil was trying to throw at him and others around him. And through Jesus Christ, Chris turned into an elite soldier of God armed with his faith, smile and his heart. All the things that he suffered from, Chris not once cursed God, not once did he blame him for anything that was going on within him, instead he thanked him because it is all His will and Chris knew that whatever it was he faced, his faith would grow that much more stronger.

I’ve seen pictures of Chris with others around him, putting their hands on his shoulders, on his head, praying to heal him… I think that Chris knew where he was going and what would happen to him, so when he did his prayer request, I personally think that he wasn’t praying to heal his body but to heal his heart fully so his faith in Christ is the highest it could possibly be when it was his time.

Chris, you are a true inspiration to us at Savior, we love you brother and I know you’re looking down on us right now at Jesus’ side continuing your prayers for us. God bless you my friend and thank you for being a strong part of our lives.

For those of you who knew Chris or inspired by his story, please share something with us for his family to see and show your support for this Warrior of Christ. thank you and God Bless!
